Mary was born and raised in El Paso, Texas where she graduated from El Paso High School. She later obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Texas at El Paso while raising her three children. Mary worked as a teacher with 40 years of service in the El Paso Independent School District (Bliss Elementary, Wiggs Middle School, and Armendariz Middle School). She was passionate about her work and the impact she made to many of her young students lives. Finally, Mary served as the science department chair for years where she mentored dozens of teachers during her tenure.
In her private life, Mary was a woman of kindness, compassion, unconditional love and possessed the strongest devotion to her faith and family. Throughout her life she enjoyed many hobbies including gardening, teaching aerobics, skiing, modeling, dancing, home decorating, listening to music, and cooking. She was considered the exceptional hostess as she always welcomed family and friends into her home with a delicious meal and lots of love.
Her internal beauty was just as extraordinary as her external beauty. Mary will be greatly missed by those that had the opportunity to know and love her.
