Martha A. Carrete de Sanchez

Martha A. Carrete de Sanchez, age 81, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2023. She was born at La Cofradia in Santa María del Oro, Durango, Mexico, and was a longtime resident of El Paso, TX where she passed away surrounded by her loved ones. Martha enjoyed spending time shopping, traveling, dancing, gardening, and also enjoyed a good conversation with family, friends and neighbors. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren who all cherished her dearly.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents Jose Guadalupe and Maria Carrete; husband Cesar Sanchez; brother Guadalupe P. Carrete and grandson Cesar Daniel Caballero.

Martha is survived by her daughters Mayela (Rodney Smith), Liliana (Eduardo Luna) and Yamel (Alberto Vasquez, Jr) and son Cesar Sanchez, Jr.; sister Irma Mena, brother Alfonso Carrete, sister Estela Carrete, brother Jesus Joel Carrete and sister Lourdes Carrete; grandson Jaime Salido, grandson Ivan Ponce, granddaughter Annette Sanchez, granddaughter Yamel Vasquez, granddaughter Ileana Luna, grandson Alejandro Vasquez, great grandson Seth Salido, great granddaughter Summer Salido, great granddaughter Savannah Salido, great grandson Ezra Flores and great grandson Mateo Medrano. Martha also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews as well as friends and extended family to cherish her memory.

A visitation for Martha will be held Thursday, May 25, 2023 from 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM with a vigil at 7:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Ave, El Paso, TX 79903. Funeral mass will be Friday, May 26th at 10:00 AM at St Joseph Catholic Church, 3729 Hueco Ave, El Paso, Texas 79903.
