Today a precious soul was welcomed into God’s heavenly kingdom, our beloved mother, Maria Meza (Guera) began her pain-free life in her eternal home. Guera dedicated her life to her children, Jennifer and Joey and her grandchildren Joi, Jordan, Jayden and Jayceon. They were the light of her life. When she was not cheering them on at one of their games or events, she was taking care of her mother, Juana Fattorini. Guera was very giving always putting the needs of others before her own. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. It gives us comfort to know that her strong faith in God helped her endure the pain of her illness.
Guera was preceded in death by her father, Juan Fattorini, and is survived by her mother, Juana Fattorini; children, Jennifer and Joey (Melissa); grandchildren Joi, Jordan, Jayden, Jacyeon; brothers Eddie and John Fattorini (Ceci); sisters, Connie Vasquez (Joe), Victoria Fattorini, Susana Fattorini (Mike) and many nieces, aunts, uncles cousins and friends.
Before retiring in 2021, Guera was a loyal employee for over 30 years for multiple companies as a bookkeeper, office manager and warehouse manager. One of her final conversations was about her work history with her sister where she stated, “All they (employers) had to do was give her a chance and she would prove to be a committed worker”. Even through with all her aches and pains she was usually the first one in the office and the last one to leave.
We were all blessed to have her in our lives. We thank you all for your prayers and support during her time in the hospital and while in the care of family members. Although her body was no longer able to support her here on earth, her unending faith guided her to her eternal home. MAY SHE REST IN PEACE.
A visitation for Maria will be held Sunday, November 27, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Dr., El Paso, Texas 79915. A rosary will occur Sunday, November 27, 2022 at 2:00 PM, 1060 North Carolina Dr., El Paso, Texas 79915. A funeral mass will occur Monday, November 28, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 8011 Williamette Ave, El Paso, Texas 79907.
