Maria Elizabeth Guerrero

Maria Elizabeth “Liz” Guerrero, age 65, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 20, 2023, in El Paso TX. She was born January 17, 1958, in El Paso to Leopoldo and Laudelia Sanchez. She was a graduate of El Paso High School. She retired as a daycare learning center Director, displaying a wonderful knack for community building. Liz truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; maintaining a full social calendar, being a foodie, listening to music, and pursuing her greatest passion: spending time with and loving her family – the light of her life. Liz had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. She is survived by her significant other, Luis Salazar; daughters: Cindy Jaquez and Lisa Mendoza; son, Carlos Guerrero; siblings: Rose Sanchez, Manuel Sanchez, Laudelia Miner, and Annabel Estrada; six grandchildren, one great grandchild, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Family, friends, and others whose lives Liz touched are invited for visitation at Funeraria Del Angel Evergreen East, 12400 Montana Ave, El Paso, TX 79938 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Monday, September 4, 2023. Memorial Service will begin at 9:30 a.m. followed by burial service at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave, El Paso, TX 79906 at 11:00 a.m.
