Margaret P. Randle

Margaret Irma Peña Randle was born on Sept. 13, 1941, in Southern California to H. Jerry Peña and Dorothy Mulligan Peña. She was a life-long resident of El Paso where she passed away on February 10, 2023. She is survived by two loving sons, Michael Randle (Jennifer) of Lorton, VA. and Robert Randle (Yarazeth) of San Antonio, TX. Her grandchildren are Matthew Randle (Holly), Jennifer Schutt, Madison Randle, Katie Randle and Cris Randle. Precious great grandkids are Samuel Schutt, Michael Randle, Glen Tackett, Kyle Tackett and Trevion Williams. She is survived by her siblings, Dottie McCarthy (Patrick), Fort Collins, CO., H. Jerry Peña, Jr. (Nellene), Las Cruces, NM., and John Peña (Suzi, deceased), Las Cruces, NM. Margaret’s passion was creating beautiful, memorable art. Her acrylic paintings will long live in each of our houses along with various plaster and ceramic pieces influenced by her mother and sister. She continued to share her passion by teaching classes in her Auntie Mame’s Art Studio and Gift Shop and in the later years at the area Hobby Lobby. Her non-artist career endeavors were in El Paso-area non-profit services such as, Executive Director at the American Red Cross, Executive Director for the local-chapter of MADD and Campaign Director for the United Way. She was fiercely interested in supporting local politics. Enjoyed lively, competitive games of Scrabble with friends and family. She was a passionate, patriotic American but her greatest joy and accomplishment was raising her sons and entertaining her family throughout the years. Services will be conducted at Martin Funeral Home, 1460 George Dieter Drive, on Saturday, February 18, 2023, with visitation at 9:00 am and service conducted by James Edward Peña at 11:00 am. Active pallbearers will be Marshall Dooley, Cristien Randle, Craig Mulligan, Jerry René Peña, Jr., Casey Peña and Jimmy Bissuett. Honorary Pallbearers will be Elva Parra, Olivia Parra, Dr. Lisa McCarthy, Madison Randle, Katie Randle, Jennifer Schutt and Matthew Randle. Posthumous Pallbearers are Marta Duron Hernandez, Jim Phillips, John Muñoz, Craig Peña, Susan Huffman Daniel and Juan Stockmeyer. Interment will be in the Mulligan Family plot at Evergreen Cemetery, 4301 Alameda Avenue, El Paso, Texas 79905. Rest in peace, our dear Margaret. Vaya con Dios.
