He was born in El Paso, Texas on August 14, 1932. Manuel served in the U.S. Army 1st Cavalry Division, 61st Field Artillery Battalion Battery "B" from 1952-1954 during the Korean War. His legacy lives on in the craftsmanship has left behind and the wisdom and strength he passed down.
Manuel is preceded in death by parents, Juan and Nolberta Duran; wife, Josefina Duran; sisters, Cecilia Hinojosa, Rosa Flores; brothers, Ramon Duran, Leonardo Duran, Jose Duran; daughter, Olga Gerber (Bill). Manuel is survived by daughters, Becky Gomez (Hector), Rachel Jauregui (Robert+) and son, Manuel Duran Jr. (Birdie); 10 Grandchildren, 19 Great-Grandchildren and 5 Great-Great Grandchildren. The family would like to thank the caretakers who cared for our father from Ayuda Home Health Care Hospice, Dr. Ismael Rodriguez, nurses Sonia and Diana, and social worker Rjesh Gill.
