Beloved husband, father, and Grandfather Julio M. Esquivel, 90, passed away March 9, 2016. He was born February 11, 1926 to Rito Esquivel and Ysabel Matamoros in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico and grew up in Parral, Chihuahua. Julio had been a resident of El Paso for 62 years and was a retired businessman who owned several gas stations and was also a grocery store clerk. He was a Los Angeles Dodgers and Green Bay Packers Fan. He loved going to Las Vegas, playing the slot machines, and also enjoyed going to the Dodger games. Julio is preceded in death by his brother Francisco Esquivel, daughters: Guadalupe Moreno and Soledad Esquivel. Survived by wife of 70 years, Macaria J. Esquivel, brother-Raul Esquivel, Sr., son, Julio Esquivel, Jr. and wife Mary Ann of Las Vegas, NV; daughters, Isabel Trejo (Don), Christina and husband Frank Ortega (deceased), Raquel and husband Hector Martinez. Grandchildren: Lidia Diggs, Edward and Claudia Moreno, Soledad Puga and Daniel Trejo, Anna Marie Baker of Austin, Texas and Charles Baker Jr., Damon Butler, Melissa Gallia, Michelle Gallucci, all from Las Vegas, NV, 1st Sgt. Benjamin Olivares of Baumholder, Germany, Mario Munoz of Las Vegas, NV and Sebastian Martinez. 23 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Special thanks to Vellanira Salas, Reina Montes, Dr. Fernando Raudales, and the staff of Central City Dialysis. Pallbearers: Daniel Trejo, Edward Moreno, Mario Munoz, Hector Martinez, Sebastian Martinez, Benjamin L. Olivares, Damon Butler, and Mark Burris. Visitation: 5-9pm with a Vigil/Rosary to begin at 7p.m. on Monday, March 14, 2016 at Hillcrest Funeral Home (Carolina). Funeral Mass: 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church. Burial: 2:30p.m. at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
