Juan David Martinez

Juan David Martinez, Sr., 72 of El Paso, Texas passed away December 6, 2024. He was born on January 26, 1952, in Colonia Anchondo, Chihuahua, Mexico. Juan graduated from Jefferson High School in El Paso, Texas and received his Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Texas at El Paso. Juan proudly served in the United States Army as a military police officer. Juan retired as an educator and dedicated over 30 years in the public school system. He was patient, humble, kind and loved his family. Juan was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He played many instruments and shared his love of music with his family. Juan was a student of life with an inquiring mind and eagerness to learn. His impact on this earth and in our lives will be everlasting. He will truly be missed. He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Victoria Martinez, and children Juan David Martinez, Jr., Adrian Martinez, Melissa Saenz, and Joel Martinez. Grandchildren Jonathan Martinez, Micheal Martinez, Alyssa Saenz, and Mia Saenz. Son-in- law Adrian Saenz and daughter- in- law Jessica Martinez. Siblings Jose Martinez, Tina Grajeda, Martha Femat, Manny Martinez. He was preceded by his parents Nemesio and Gloria Martinez, and brother, Daniel Martinez.

Pallbearers for the funeral procession will be Juan David Martinez, Jr., Adrian Martinez, Joel Martinez, Jonathan Martinez, Adrian Saenz, and Ruben Femat.

Services will be held on December 16, 2024 at 5:00pm-8:00pm at Martin Funeral Home East, 1460 George Dieter Dr. El Paso, Texas 79936. Prayer and rosary will be held at 6:00pm. A funeral mass will be held Tuesday December 17, 2024 from 11:30am- 12:30pm at St. Raphael Catholic Church, 2301 Zanzibar Rd, El Paso, Texas 79925. Burial services will be Tuesday, December 17, 2024 from 1:00pm-1:30pm at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave, El Paso, Texas 79906.
