Dear Joe, I'm so sadden to hear of your passing, however the memories we created in high school bring a smile to my face.  I will always remember your fun spirit and competitive drive, especially trying to beat me out of 1st chair in our trumpet tryouts :), which actually drove me to do my best.   Thank you for those wonderful memories!  May you rest and peace and may God bring peace to your family and friends.

Rest in peace Joseph, remembering times when I would go with Lisa  to your parents house.  You were always a funny guy.  My condolences to the Candelaria family 

Our dearest Joseph. You have meant so so much to us all and feel so blessed to have had you in our lives. I cherish the times we shared growing up as kids, teenagers having fun together with our friends, our high school and band, and with ALL our families. Some favorite memories I have is of us with Lisa as kids at Grandma Lily’s/Grandpa Teo’s house performing our little skits (covering our eyes and nose and painting fake eyes on our chin hanging upside down on the bed, and telling silly jokes) for the family, and as we got older having the pleasure of hearing you play your trumpet solos. You’re life was a blessing to us all, and the memories our treasure. There are no words to express how much you meant to us all and how so very proud we were of you as a son, brother, cousin, uncle, nephew, friend, grandson, and especially a father to Briana. It’s not goodbye forever but a goodbye for now until  we meet again.

You were such an awesome  dad to Briana and how much you love her and made her happy. We enjoyed your funny ventures on the band trips.  You always seemed to attract all the girls and make us smile.  Those were very good memories.  You will greatly be missed and see you soon.  Now you have joined our dear grandparents.  Rest In Peace.

Joseph, I am so blessed to have so many wonderful memories of us in high school, especially band and our band trips. Durango makes me smile and you know why. You were so protective and took such good care of me and Debbie. We will forever miss you! I love you dearly cousin and I know you will still be watching over us. Joseph you will be greatly missed cousin. I feel blessed to have such an amazing family and to have grown up with you.  I will never forget you positive energy and how you were always smiling. My heart is so heavy, but I know we will see each other again one day.   I love you dearly!!

09/30/2006 is a day I will always remember and thankful you were standing by my side.

My sincere condolences to the Candelaria Family.

Joseph was my dear best friend since 5th grade. Crazy teachers, quinceañeras, our beloved band, relationships, family, heartache, joys...we went through it all.  No one knew me better and I boldly can say the same for him.  We could go months without talking and with a simple text or call it was as if we’d just seen each other the day before. 

There will undoubtedly be a void in my life and I am sincerely heartbroken. 

Joe, I will miss your gentle (but never quiet because we all know the man could talk!!) presence in my life. I will miss the wise parenting advice, I will miss that deep hearty laugh of yours. Most of all, I will just miss my friend. 

Mr and Mrs. Candelaria i am so incredibly sorry and please know I love you both.

Briana...what a gift!  You had a Daddy that loved you so very much. He was an awesome father.

I love you daddy. You will always be my number one. 

You supported me throughout my life.  You were there for my baseball games, basketball games, and football games.  Even when I couldn't be there for my family, you drove to support my daughter at her gymnastics meet in Santa Fe.  I drove you crazy when we were kids, but you were still that older brother who picked on me, but took care of me and never let anyone mess with me.  I looked up to you then, I never stopped.  Oh what I would give to have you drag me through our living room floor over our floor heater with the metal cover and hear your contagious laugh as I scream for Mom.  I Love You My Brother.

Joseph was one of my best friends, we were each othrr's work spouses. He was my rock, my life will never be the same...
