Jose Roberto Fierro Perez, a loving son to Rosie and Ruben Martinez; caring fiance to Cynthia Baeza; exceptional brother to Rebeca, Rocio, Ricardo, and Rudy Fierro; great cousin, uncle, grandson, and friend. Graduated from Riverside High School where we was a member of the Ranger Band and the Basketball team, where his friends knew him as “Larry Bird”. Long before graduation, Robert had decided he would join the United States Marine Corp and would later became a Corporal as part of the Marine Wing Support Squadron 371, the Sandsharks. He served two deployments, to Afghanistan and Bahrain. A lot of people live their lives and never follow their passion, but he had the courage to do it. He would have taken a bullet or jumped on a grenade for any of his fellow Marines with no hesitation. He was such a noble, kind-hearted individual, he was a good samaritan ready to help anyone in need. He had love in his heart for others, was compassionate, and always showed respect. He was deeply loved and admired by many. Although Robert was taken from us way too soon, in the end it's not the years in your life that count, it's the life in your years. He was a grateful and happy individual until the very end. We do not remember days, we remember moments. We will always love you. Our dear hero.
