Mike, as I called him, was a very endearing person. I first met him and his mother, Milly, over twenty years ago, visiting at his sister Katherine's home. He dearly loved his family, and cared deeply about his friends, as well as his pets, his automobiles and his independence. He loved to sit with me and remember good times and people he had shared his life with. I will miss his smile and wit, and will always appreciate and never forget his friendship. His honest nature and good heart was testament to his devoted and loving family, who continue to be in my heart forever. Rest in Peace Dear John Michael.

Our sincere condolences to the Garcias including extended family and friends for the loss of John Michael . John Michael was a good and loyal friend for many decades. My wife Carmen and I will miss our meals with him but will especially miss  his company. He was kind and gentle and always asked how everyone was doing. We will continue to pray for John Michael . Our prayers are also with his family and friends thru this very difficult time.

He is preceded in death by his parents John Louis &amp; Mildred Fondren Garcia, siblings John Riley &amp; Mary Magdalene (Maida). Mike is survived by his sisters Katherine Blankiet (Claude), Patricia Saum &amp; Nephew Patrick Walters.


Mike leaves behind an Uncle Anthony Garcia (Lucy), Aunts Josephine Vaughn, Gloria Garica &amp; many cousins. He will be especially missed by Aunt Rita (Bentley) with whom he was very close to.
