Our beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend, Hortencia “Tencha” joined our lord and savior on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at the age of 95. She is preceded in death by her parents Braulio and Esther Rodriguez; her husband Valeriano Herrera; her sister Rosario Quiñones; and her brothers Manuel, Braulio, Francisco, and Armando Rodriguez. She is survived by her four children Raymundo (Norma) Valdes, David Herrera, Angie (James) Moore, and Cecilia Rocha. Hortencia was also blessed with her 13 grandchildren Christopher, Adrian, Valerie, Abel, Jesse, Diana, Jackie, Sarah, Courtney, Andrea, Michael, Kristina, and Anthony. She also was loved by 16 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and a host of family members and friends. She was loved very much and words cannot express how much she will be missed.
Visitation will be Monday April 17,2023 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home-East with vigil service at 6 p.m.Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday April 18, 2023 at 12 p.m at St, Stephen Catholic Church following with interment at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery 1:30 p.m.
