Helen Shamy Aguilar, 87, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2017. She was a lifetime resident of El Paso, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Nellie Shamy; brothers, Sam, Willie, and David Shamy; and husband, Lorenzo Aguilar. She is survived by her children; sons, Richard and Danny Aguilar; daughters, Loretta Baray and Cindee Aguilar; sons-in-law, Jorge Baray and Louie Almanza; daughters-in-law, Rosa Vasquez Aguilar and Kim Aguilar; grandchildren, Ginna, Erik, Adam, Amanda, Sam, Christopher, Justin, Madison; great grandchildren, Lukas, Katherine, Gavin, Sienna, Rider; brother, Robert Shamy; sister, Martha Favela; and several nieces and nephews.
Helen was blessed with a long and fruitful life. She was a loving mother, grandmother, friend, and benevolent neighbor. We love you and miss you, Gran!
Visitation will be on Friday, June 23, 2017 from 9:00am to 10:00am with a vigil at 9:30am and funeral service at 10:00am at Martin Funeral Home Central. Burial to follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
