Gilbert "Gilly" Diaz

Gilbert "Gilly" Diaz Jr, 48 passed away on Friday September 22, 2017. Preceded in death by his father Gilbert P. Diaz. He is survived by his wife Lupe Diaz, daughters Jasmine Justine Diaz, Lexis Marie Diaz, and stepson Antonio Villa. He is survived by his 2 Grandchildren Neveah Faith Arias and Noah Landon Arias, his mother Tere Diaz, sister Debbie (Ruben) Ceballos, brothers John P. Diaz and Rene "Rocky" Diaz, and godson Ruben “Pops” Ceballos Jr. He was a 1987 graduate of Bel Air High School, where his friends knew him as "Hollywood". Gilly had a lifelong passion for sports and his ultimate favorite the Oakland Raiders. Gilly had a huge heart and would open his home to any friend in need, always. His giving nature will never be forgotten and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be from 5 to 9pm Friday Sept. 29 at Crestview Funeral Home, 1462 N. Zaragoza. Mass will be Saturday, September 30 at 9 am at San Antonio Catholic Church, 503 Hunter Dr. Burial following at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, 401 S Zaragoza Rd. Pallbearers; John P. Diaz, Rene “Rocky” Diaz, Ruben Ceballos Sr., Ruben “Pops” Ceballos Jr., John P. Diaz Jr., Antonio Villa, Larry Limon, and Marcus P. Blount.
