Ethel was born in Vicksburg Mississippi to the late Annie Elizabeth Watson Wallace and Thomas W. Wallace Sr. After graduating from Greenville high school, and marriage to Clarence J Larkins Senior. She made El Paso her home for over 48 years. Before her illness she was a dedicated employee of MSD for more than 30 years and a member of Mt Zion Baptist Church singing in the Adult Gospel Choir and member of the Women's Missionary Ministry. Working with the ladies of the church was a highlight for her.
Ethel is lovingly remembered by her son, Clarence J. Larkins Jr, grandson, Ishmael Larkins granddaughters, Iesha Larkins, and Natasha Larkins and two great grandchildren . She is also survived by three brothers and four sisters: Louis A. Miles Sr (Dorothy), Karl F. Wallace Sr, Harry W. Wallace, Elsie Wallace Foster, Greta Ratler (Cloid), Sarah R. Bailey, and Shirley A. Wallace-Brown (Frank) as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Ethel was predeceased by her loving daughter Yvette Larkins and eleven siblings.
She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Ethel will be missed immensely by those who new and loved her.
Visitation will be held from 4:00PM to 9:00PM with Prayer Service at 7:00PM, Thursday, February 16th, at Funeraria Del Angel Restlawn, 8817 Dyer Street, El Paso, Texas 79904. Funeral service will be Friday, February 17th, at 11:30AM at Funeraria Del Angel Restlawn. Graveside service will follow at 12:30PM at Restlawn Memorial Garden Cemetery.
