EULOGY
Good evening everyone, first and foremost thank you all for being here to celebrate the life of
this beautiful woman. There was only one way to capture the words to describe my grandma's
beauty, elegance, love, compassion and devotion. Those words could only be found in God's
word because she was truly the daughter of the King.
She was one of Gods greatest works woven together in the womb, fearfully and wonderfully
made for his glory. His glory would become her primary focus throughout her life. This
daughter would speak with grace, compassion and love through all the days of her life. She
would lead generations of people to a life with Christ because in every situation she would
lace God's promises with her wisdom in order to show each person there was only one way to
hope, to love and to an everlasting life.
The lost would be lead to Christ through her ministry, the hungry would be fed whether she
had a plentiful harvest or in moments of scarcity. The needy would be clothed and sheltered
regardless of her own comforts. The broken hearted would be enveloped in her love.
Her family, friends and even strangers from all walks of life would be blessed by her prayers.
It is these moments that prove we can be confident that upon entrance into heaven she was
welcomed with being admired as a good and faithful servant.
My grandma was a woman who was far more precious than rubies, clothed in dignity and
strength as a wife, as a mother and as a grandmother. She displayed her love of Christ and
family until the very end. During my last visit, I promised my grandma, that I would pass on
the following message exactly how it was spoken “Mija, I need you to tell my children
something for me when I go, I need you to tell them to trust God, in any situation, just trust
God. Tell them I love every single person in my family and they were all so special to me.”
As we celebrate the gift of her life, we say goodbye with a great amount of hope. For those who
believe in God’s promises know that we will be reunited with her again. In her words, don’t
cry for me because I am dancing with my heavenly father and we will walk the streets of gold
and see heaven in all of its splendor by her side when our time comes.
For those who may not believe, we pray that the love, compassion and commitment to Christ
that you saw in her, would lead you to this same Christ centered life filled with his promises,
so that you too may be reunited with her again in everlasting life.
True to the legacy she left behind the final wish she asked of me was to pray for you, so I end
with this Heavenly Father, we come before you tonight with hearts filled with gratitude for
the many years you blessed us with your daughters love and faithfulness. We thank you lord
for being near to us today and in the days to come. Thank you for giving us comfort and
strength when our hearts ache from missing her. Help us to remember that even on days like
today she would say “this is the day that the lord has made, let's us rejoice and be glad in it.”
We ask father that you would forgive each one of us of our sins today and reignite our hearts
for displaying your love and promises. May your love shine through us as it so brightly shined
within her. We pray for those that don't know you father, that they would repent of their sins
today, know that you are a God of grace and love and ask you to come into their life that they
may experience your goodness and have everlasting life. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
At this time we would like to continue our celebration of life with reflections from the family.
Beginning with my grandma's children first, followed by grandchildren and great
grandchildren. We ask that if you do decide to speak that you be brief to allow others the same
opportunity.
Lisa Bracy.
