Eduardo Sanchez Franco

He was a loving son, father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He was preceded in death by his loving father, Guillermo (Willie) D. Franco, and he is survived by his devoted and loving mother: Mary S. Franco, and his two children, Patrick William Franco and Abigail Patricia Franco. He is also survived by his siblings, Guillermo Franco, Jr (Billy), Patricia Marie Franco (Patsy), Samuel Franco (Sammy) and all his nieces and nephews who loved and adored him: Madeleine Franco, Joel and Mateo Villagrana, Natalia and Catherine Franco, and Fitz Franco (Sammy’s Dog)

Eddie was a graduate of Clint High School (1993) and throughout his career, he worked as a registration clerk at the hospitals (Thomason Hospital and Vista Hills Medical Center), a bail bonds man and worked for IBM in Austin, Texas. Eddie earned his degree from “Willie Franco University” where he learned to be a carpenter, electrician, plumber, and mechanic. He was a jack of all trades as mentored by his father, and he always put his skills to use by assisting anyone in need. Eddie was a selfless man that bent over backwards to help others. He wholeheartedly loved his children, his family, and his nieces and nephews. The last few years of his life, Eddie took pleasure in cooking and always made sure that his nieces and nephews were fed and taken care of.

Eddie had a contagious smile, and he lit up a room anytime he walked in. He was quite a storyteller, a natural comedian and always had the crowd laughing. Eddie was a very social person and could start up a conversation with anyone. He touched the lives of so many people through his caring acts and selfless thinking.

He will be greatly missed by all. This is not goodbye, but see you later. May eternal rest be granted to Eddie, Oh Lord, and may Perpetual light shine upon him!

Thank you to all the physicians, nurses, home health providers, and Davita Dialysis center for all the care they provided Eddie these last few years.

A visitation for Eduardo will be held Friday, July 21, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at San Lorenzo Catholic Church with a vigil service at 6:00 pm, 611 Avenida De San Lorenzo, Clint, TX 79836. A funeral mass will occur Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 9:00 AM at San lorenzo Catholic Church, 611 Avenida De San Lorenzo, Clint, TX 79836. A graveside service will follow at 10:30 AM at Clint Cemetery.
