Our Beloved Mother Dora Meraz passed away on December 31st, 2020 surrounded by her children. Born Dora Arellano on May 6th, 1942 in El Paso, Texas the only child of Francisco and Aurora Arellano. Dora graduated from Loretto Academy and earned a Bachelor’s of Education from The University of Incarnate Word in San Antonio, TX. She served our community as an educator for over 32 years. Dora was proceeded in death by her husband of 50 years Juan Meraz. She is survived by her three children: Linda M. Ramirez (Robert), Juan Meraz Jr. (Cindy), and David Meraz (Wendy), and seven Grandchildren: Gracen, Emeri, Gabriela, Mia, Daniela, Alyssa, and Joaquin. Dora was immensely proud of her children and adored her grandchildren. She leaves behind beautiful memories and a legacy of love.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions there will be no funeral services. We ask in lieu of flowers, contributions be donated to Good Shepard Monastery in Dora’s name at PO Box 17635, El Paso, Texas 79907.
