CHUCK PALMER, 74, passed away on March 26, 2025 in El Paso, Texas. Chuck had suffered for years without complaint with ever advancing Parkinson’s disease. He died following complications from a broken hip. He was preceded in death by his father Charles Palmer, his mother Violet Weisbrod, and his stepmother Peggy Palmer. He will be cherished by his wife Jan, sister Lynne Ramsey (Jack), brother Kevin Palmer (Lisa), daughter Shyla Palmer (Steve Headley), granddaughter Harper Palmer and numerous other relatives and friends.
“Cable guy” was well known for setting up and maintaining computer networks in many school districts including Ysleta, Tornillo and Clint as well as at Region XIX. He never gave up on solving technology problems and kept up with new developments in the field until the end of his life. He proudly served in the US Army earlier in his career and also taught computer classes at Park College.
He and Jan retired together in 2005 and travelled over 130,000 miles in the US and Canada towing RV trailers with a menagerie of dogs who brought them great joy. When it comes to Chuck Palmer, you couldn’t ask for a more perfect human because he always gave the most to everyone he met. Per his request no memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to El Paso Humane Society.
