Carol Ann Dudley

Carol Ann Unruh, 67, passed away on March 24, 2025 in El Paso, Texas. She was born in El Paso, Texas on June 29, 1957. Carol ran track for Burges High School where she won the district championship for the 800-meter race as a sophomore. She attended college at both Texas Women's University and the University of Texas El Paso where she received her bachelor’s degree in health sciences. She married Hilman J. Dudley Jr. on January 15, 1992, and they were married for nearly 30 years before his passing in 2021. Carol spent her career working as a laboratory pathologist and then later changed paths to serve with US Customs and Border protection as an “Aggie” from 2008 to 2021. She had an eclectic collection of hobbies including riding her unicycle, gardening, and taking care of her beloved dog, Pepper. She was fiercely devoted to her family, as well as everyone who was fortunate enough to have her as a friend or colleague. She is survived by Roger Unruh (wife Christi Unruh), Heather Unruh, Diana Finn (husband Michael Finn), Neil Unruh (fiancé Ashley Naguit), as well as three great nephews and seven great nieces. Carol was predeceased by her parents Orlando Milo Unruh and Georgia Ann Unruh as well as her husband, Hilman J Dudley Jr. Funeral services will be performed graveside at Fort Bliss National Cemetery on April 4, 2025 at 9:00AM.
