Carlos Antonio Aceves age 53, passed away Saturday, November 27, 2021. He was a beloved Father, Son, Brother, Uncle and cherished friend to many. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Army. He served the United States proudly for 22 years which included 3 tours in Iraq; was honored with the Bronze Star medal. Carlos retired as a Sergeant First Class in 2015.
He was preceded in death by his parents Carlos and Antonia G. Aceves and Grandmother Feliciana Garcia.
He is survived by his wife Maria Elena and step-daughter Perla De La Rosa. He is also survived by his 3 sons; Carlos Antonio Jr., Marco Antonio and Marcel Alejandro; stepdaughter Melissa Rios; brothers Juan Sifuentes, Luis R. Garcia (Maria) and sisters Sylvia Rodriguez, Cristina Aceves and Victoria M. Aceves; and many nieces and nephews.
He will always be remembered as a funny, loving, energetic man who always welcomed people with open arms and never hesitated to put the needs of others before his own. He had a passion for music and was an avid member of various local bands as the lead drummer. After retirement, Carlos was driven to answer God’s next calling of service, he served his parish Roger Bacon proudly and wholeheartedly. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, he personally ensured his community would be able to participate in daily mass and launched the YouTube channel which broadcasted daily mass. He was the epitome of strength and always handled trying situations with a brave heart. His family will miss him, but will continue to honor his legacy of selflessness, courage, service and pride.
Visitation: Thursday, December 9, 2021, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm with Rosary at 6:00pm at Del Angel- Central Funeral Home. Friday, December 10, 2021, Burial mass will be held at Roger Bacon Seminary at 12 Noon followed by Graveside Service with Military Honors at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
