Candelaria Rivera, age 93, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 25. She was a beloved mother, a cancer survivor, and a strong-willed woman who cherished life. Candelaria found joy in spending time with her family and friends at La Victoria and loved her regular outings to the casino.
A devout follower of The Virgin Mary, she faithfully prayed her rosary every night. As the pillar of our family, she radiated love and strength, always surrounding herself with family and friends. Candelaria faced her battle with cancer like a true warrior, placing her faith in the Lord from the moment she was diagnosed.
Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Claro Rivera, and daughter, Alejandra Rivera. She is survived by her daughter, Christina Rivera (Fernando Muriel), her son, Jose Adrian Rivera; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Gamboa and Gabriel Gamboa; and her great-grandchild, Clara Luna Cordon.
A visitation for Candelaria will be held Wednesday, October 2, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM with a Vigil Service starting at 7:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Evergreen East, 12400 East Montana, El Paso, TX 79938.
