Although this is five years later, I still hold a heavy heart toward my Tio Mando. He was an amazing man and I still hate how I never took the opportunity to get closer to him when he was still here. I often search for words to be said about him so that his legacy may live on, and even five years later, driving past his old barber shop is something I still hold to myself. He was funny, inspirational, and a kind man at heart. I know he is out there living in peace, and I hope he knows just how much his family loves him.

I'm deeply sorry for your loss. I was heartbroken when I heard about Jr's passing.   I still remember 20 years ago when I got my haircut with Jr and have never went to any other place since.  You will be missed and never forgotten.  God Bless your family always. 

31 years ago, I walked into Mando’s Barber Shop (Ranchland Village area) and met Mando Jr who took me in. From there, I never went to any other barber except Jr.  We talked so much about football, golf, life and especially about his 3 daughters and my 3 daughters.  My condolences to Mando Sr and the entire family.  What started one day as my barber 30+ years ago, I am blessed I could call him a friend.  I’ll miss you Jr!!!  Thank you for everything.

His eyes would light up every time he would see his daughter in practice or games, he was such supportive,  loving  and proud father. Our condolences from the bottom of our hearts go out to the Gutiérrez fam, during this very hard time. I pray he rest in paradise, his physical body leaves earth, but he will live in the memories and hearts of his loved ones.

So growing up together we were  in and out of each other’s lives right like most cousins do but if I look back we always seemed to reconnect and we bonded when it mattered most. You were my best man at my wedding, you are The Godfather to my youngest daughter you’ve been there through some of the biggest moments in my life.   I got to spend a week with you definitely not under good circumstances but we got to know each other as men, husbands and fathers.... I hold that time dear because of the circumstances those conversations taught me a lot about all three of those things.  You often don’t see how much of an impact people have in your life or how much you in theirs. I love you primo you will be forever in my heart.  I can still hear the laughter,  the odd sense of humor. Mando had a way to make fun of you and still let you know he loved you at the same time.  It’s not goodbye for me it’s see you when the time comes primo.

Had the pleasure to help Me Gutierrez during his  Office visit. May you rest in peace and be welcomed in the kingdom of  our Lord .  Pleasure to have meet you , I am Medical Assistant to  Urology clinic.

My condolences to the family. I know how much he will be missed by everyone.  No one could've fought longer and harder than he did, and I know it's because he loved all of you so much and wanted to give you every day that he could. I just hope that he can finally be at peace, and I pray that all of you will be able to find peace in the memories of a loving son, husband and father.

I'll always cherish the memories of being in his chair. For the past decade we got to catch up, talk sports and share stories about our lives. We shared hopes, joys, dreams and fears. That's what always made it so great.

We were talking once about what we loved to do. He said he loved his job when it was like this. I asked what he meant. He said he loved it when he had a friend in his chair because he could relax and enjoy spending that time together while he worked. It was almost like a little break for him; a little calm in the storm of a busy day.

Of course, it was never really just a hair cut. It was a reserved block of time with a friend. It's why he was so good at what he did. He always had a smile and we'd always share a joke. He could relate to anyone, and he had a great knack for conversation and putting people at ease. He touched so many lives.

I'm going to miss that so much, and I'm going to miss my friend.
I'll keep Junior, and all of you, in my prayers.
