It is with great sadness that the family of Alicia Bañales, beloved mother, wife, sister, grandmother, and aunt passed away on December 24, 2023, at the age of 70. She was born on March 3, 1953, in San Juan De Gdpe, Durango Mexico.
Alicia also known as “Licha” was preceded in death by her beloved husband Mario Bañales. She is survived by her children Mari Ornelas (Robert), Juan Rangel (Marisela), and Adrian Rangel. She is also survived by her grandchildren Victoria Ornelas, Joshua Ornelas, Sophia Rangel, and Ashley Rangel, and her beloved extended family Socorro Delgadillo, Valerie Oropeza, Alice Oropeza, and Eric Oropeza.
Licha was caring, loving, and a protector of her family. She was a true inspiration. Her strong faith in God made any challenge bearable, she always prayed for her family and others. Her beautiful smile always brought you the warm feeling of her love and her voice always made you feel at ease. The dedication she had to everyone is what she valued most in life.

A viewing will be held on Monday, January 8, 2024, from 12 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. with a Remembrance service at 1:15 p.m. Services will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Ave., El Paso, TX.
Family and friends will then proceed by motorcade promptly at 2:00 p.m. for a graveside service at 2:30 p.m. at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
