John Edward Leveritt

John Edward Leveritt, 67, of El Dorado passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at the South Arkansas Regional Hospital. He was born on August 5, 1957 to Calvin A. and Taiko Kasai Leveritt in Tokyo, Japan.

He previously worked for Great Lakes Chemical and was of the Baptist faith.

Preceding him in death are his father, Calvin A. Leveritt; two brothers, David Paul Leveritt, Douglas Gifford Leveritt; sister, Lee Ann Leveritt; and his wife, Cathie Lynn Leveritt.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Taiko Kasai Leveritt; brother, Michael Leveritt; daughter, Jennifer Goocher (Paul); step-children, Jeff Andrews (Shirley), Amber Barton (Josh); grandchildren, Hunter Goocher (Lauren), Karli Pyron (Trevor), Jackson Goocher, Chloe Goocher; step-grandchildren, Tyler King, Ryan King (Olivia), Kelsey Daniel (Scott), Regan Barton, Cody Barton; four step-great grandchildren; one niece; one nephew; and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Monday, December 23, 2024 in Young's Chapel, with funeral services beginning at 11:00a.m. Burial will follow at Marysville Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice in John’s name.
