John Hamilton Beaird Jr.

Born May 13, 1935 in El Dorado, he was the son of John H. Beaird, Sr. and Carrie Lawrence Beaird. John was retired from Murphy Oil Corp as the manager of General Services. He was a retired Major in the Army Reserve and a member of First Assembly of God Church.

Preceding him in death along with his parents was a sister, Billie Jean Daniels.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Carol Ann Beaird of El Dorado, two sons, Robert K. Beaird (Brenda) of Russellville, AR and John H. Beaird, III of Houston, Texas and a brother, Ferrell Beaird (M.J.) of Texarkana, Texas. Surviving grandchildren are Taylor McEntire (Josh), Madison Beaird, Daniel Beaird (Ashley), Stephen Beaird, and Melissa Beaird.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Young's Chapel with Rev. Chris Cleveland officiating. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service. Interment will follow at Old Parker's Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
