Everett Alvin Thompson

Everett A. Thompson, 92, of El Dorado, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2018, at Northwest Louisiana War Veterans Home in Bossier City, LA. He was born July 5, 1925, to Sturges and Rosa Mae Goss Thompson in Lillie, LA.

He was a veteran of the United States Marines and was a retired bookkeeper for American Supply.

Everett is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Nanette Thompson; his second wife, Helen Joyce Thompson; son, Marlon Thompson; and siblings, Annie Pearl Farrar, Willie Thompson, Dale Thompson, Milam Thompson, and Herbert Thompson.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Janelle Morrison (Randy) of Shreveport, LA, Kay Ruddell (Bennie) of El Dorado, Buddy Cates (Diane) of Atlanta, GA; sisters, Ruthelle Taylor of Junction City, LA Peggy Morse of Sarepta, LA; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 14, 2018, in Young’s Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Meeks officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
