Mr. Morgan was retired from the United States Postal Service, where he served as Postmaster for El Dorado. H was a veteran of the United State Air Force, and one of the first pilots for TWA. He was a Mason, Boy Scout Master, Little League Baseball coach, and a member of the First United Methodist Church, where he served in many different areas. Aaron loved woodworking, travel, flying, but most of all he loved his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his loving wife of 73 years, Jeanette Hartsell Morgan of El Dorado; son, Alan Morgan (Mary Ethel) of El Dorado; two daughters, Kathe Miller (Dean) of Kilgore, TX, Wendy Turner (Ron) of Tampa, FL; brother, J. Howard Morgan (Jennie V.) of Wichita Falls, TX; three grandsons, Dr. James Brandon Morgan (Lorraine) of El Dorado, Morgan Brock Turner of Palo Alto, CA, Cameron Rogers Turner (Janie) of Minneapolis, MN; four granddaughters, Kimberly Miller Pitt (Matthew) of Gulfport, MS, Shea Morgan of Memphis, TN, Callan and Madison Turner of Tampa, FL, and five great grandchildren, Celia Eryn Miller Pitt, Nina Marin Miller Pitt both of Gulfport, MS, Bailey Morgan, Matthew Morgan both of El Dorado, and Baby Girl Turner of Minneapolis, MN.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Caregivers Charlotte Hall, Earnestine Massey, LaTasha Hankton, and Kera Ross.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 21, at Young’s.
Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 22, at the First United Methodist Church under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors with Rev. Jim Polk and Rev. Mike Blanchard officiating.
