He was born march 20, 1968 at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. As an Army dependent, he spent the first 16 years of his life traveling throughout the country and studying at a number of elementary schools including the Military Academy at West Point where he graduated from the 8th grade. After two years of high school in the Chicago area he and his family settled in El Cajon where he finished high school at Grossmont.

He moved to San Diego in 2003 to work in the family business, RBE, and subsequently he went back to his scholarly roots to become a visiting middle and high school teacher in San Diego.
Following his family tradition and Chicagoland roots, Terry was a lifelong White Sox and Bears fan. He particularly loved detailed oriented hobbies such as watch making, painting lead figurines for gaming and rebuilding a 1967 Mustang. He also enjoyed karaoke, video games, and Formula one racing. Recently, he loved spending time with his girlfriend Christine, making her laugh, going on hikes, going to concerts and being a role model and friend to her son Ronnie.
