Nancy was born to Lew and Doris (Radtke) Wallen on, October 24, 1954. She attended elementary schools in Phoenix, AZ and Paris Valley, CA: then she attended the College of the Desert in Palm Desert and went on to graduate form the University of Arizona at Tempe with a BA Degree in Art. She moved to El Cajon where she worked for San Diego Travel Group.
For may years, she loved visiting local hospitals in the pet therapy program and after several years she decided to follow her passion for animals and started a small business sketching portraits, making cards,. calendars and shirts while also doing doggie daycare through Dogs On the Run. She loved all her clients and any dog in her care was her number one priority. She enjoyed dressing her dogs for the holidays and sharing photos and sketches. Friends were overjoyed to receive gifts, Nancy had drawn, on stationary, clothing, tote bags and greeting cards starring their pets. Her creativity and humor were enjoyed by all who knew her, which included a very large group of close friends sharing dinners, bike rides, swimming, movies, and special events. Nancy kept in contact with out of town cousins and childhood friends with visits to the desert, swimming, going to favorite Mexican restaurants and sharing laughs. She was always funny and especially helped those with difficulties or health problems to find a positive lens through her humor. Nancy's kind, caring friendship will be missed by everyone she touched.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Doris and Lew Wallen and her sister, Pam (Wallen) McCreary. She is survived by her brother, Michael Wallen, a nephew Brandon Wallen, her sweet puppies, Rubee and Xena and her long time family tortoise, George, plus numerous cousins and friends.
