He moved to San Diego, CA in 1953 with his family. He worked for Convair when he first came to San Diego. He also owned his own wrecking yard. Eventually, he went to work for Buck Knives Inc., where he was a line worker, the maintenance, and then became an engineer. He worked at Buck from 1962 to 2005 (43 years), where he made lifelong friends.
Dean loved the Lord and his family and strove to always be kind, understanding, and patient. He loved spending time with family and friends camping, hunting, hiking, and fishing.
Dean is survived by his wife of 33 years Diane Hussey, his daughters Sharon Hussey and Michelle Hamilton, sons Richard Hussey and Scott Ross, 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
