Carol Mae Rudd December 23, 1933 - September 23, 2018 El Cajon After bravely fighting kidney failure, Carol Rudd took her last breath at 7 p.m., Sunday evening surrounded by family and friends. A resident of El Cajon since 1963, Carol was born and raised in Oakland/Berkeley, California. She met her lifelong love Roger Rudd at an U.S.O dance. The two married and danced for nearly 50 years until he preceded her in death. Carol found her passion in fostering newborns. Nearly 100 babies passed thru her loving care before finding their own forever home. She worked both with the loving, selfless birth parents strengthening their convictions that they were doing the "right thing" and that all would be loved as well as with the adoptive joyous parents offering her understanding and a full record and accounting of each day their child had been in her care. She was preceded in death by husband Roger Rudd, father John Paul Truzinski, mother Veronica Truzinski, brother Paul W. Truzinski, sister Joyce Matula, and daughter Karen Diane Ward. Carol leaves behind daughter Linda Suzanne Bonine, grandchildren Michael Bonine, Christian "Kyle" Haller, and Tahirth Faith Padget, and many nieces and nephews. Service will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 11 a.m. at St. Luke's Catholic Church, 1980 Hillsdale Road, El Cajon. Lunch will be served following the service.
