Sylvain Georges Roy

It's with great sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Sylvain on June 14th, 2024, at the age of 53 years old. Sylvain is survived by his wife LeeAnn, children, Abigail, Ava, Kolby, Nicholas, and Julianne. His mother Patricia McCarthy, brother Karl McCarthy (Rena), sister Jessica MacNeill (James), sister & brother-in-law Kim and Reg Piercey, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends that were like family. Sylvain was predeceased by his fathers Marcel Roy (1972) and James McCarthy (2018).

Sylvain spent many years working in the trades in New Brunswick and Alberta, leading him to a rewarding career in safety management. He had a passion for carpentry, and could be called a 'jack of all trades'. Sylvain was a hardworking, loving, devoted husband and father. He loved to talk, and could strike up a conversation with anybody, especially when the conversations were about the Oilers or Patriots. His strength and love will be forever remembered.

A celebration of Sylvain’s life will be held at a later date. Cremation entrusted to Memories Funeral Home.
