Steve will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 32 years, Claire; sons, Adam (Haley) and Ryan; mother-in-law, Sandra; brothers, Michael (Christi) and David; sister-in-law, Louisa (Ian); nephews, Nicholas, Declan and Brendan; niece, Mikayla; uncle, Ken (Marilyn); cousins, Jennifer and Joanna and their families, as well as many dear friends.
Steve was predeceased by his father, Dave; his mother, Gail; father-in-law, Chris; Gail’s husband, Gord; and sister-in-law, Kirsty.
Always available to ask for advice, or simply ready to be a listening ear, Steve was a great family member and friend to everyone. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Steve kept everyone laughing with his witty and mischievous sense of humour. A devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend, Steve meant so much to so many. He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
The family extends their sincere gratitude to Dr. Ferenczi, the staff of the Grey Nuns Hospital, the Cross Cancer Institute and the University of Alberta Hospital for the exceptional care provided. Steve always mentioned how grateful he was for the outpouring of support and love he received following his diagnosis.
A closed casket visitation for Steve will be held Saturday, November 12, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Hainstock's Funeral Home, 9810 34th Ave, Edmonton, AB.
A Celebration of Steve’s Life will occur Monday, November 14, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Hainstock's Funeral Home. For those who cannot join the family in person, a live-stream will be available, please click "Join Livestream" under Services.
