Pritam Kaur Rai

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Pritam Kaur Rai, a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, on December 4, 2024, at the age of 95 years. Born on January 27, 1929, in Akhara, District: Ludhiana, India. Pritam Kaur Rai was the beloved daughter of Nikka Singh Samra and Ind Kaur Samra. In 1949, she married the late Kartar Singh Rai, and together they built a life full of love and family. They were blessed with three sons: Jagdish Rai, Jora Rai, and Jagroop Rai, eight grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.

In 1988, Pritam Rai immigrated to Canada, settling in Edmonton while maintaining strong ties to her roots in India. She lived a life full of kindness, love, and gratitude, touching the hearts of everyone she met. Pritam’s deep faith kept God close to her heart and guided her throughout her life.

A beacon of strength and love, Pritam Rai will be dearly missed. Her legacy lives on through her family and the countless lives she impacted.

A Traditional Service to honour Pritam’s life will be held at Memories Funeral Home, 13403 St. Albert Trail NW, Edmonton, AB on Friday, December 13, 2024 at 1:00 pm.
