It is heartbreaking to hear of Pamela's passing. My deepest condolences to the Boylan family. Pamela was a gem of a person. We worked together at the City for several years. Not only was 
Pamela excellent at her job - she got everything done quickly and competently and always made me feel supported - she was welcoming and big-hearted and connected with everyone - as evidenced by all of these memories shared by others who worked with her.  We bonded over our love of food and gardening, and shared many stories...including some about her fondness for chicken necks (if I remember correctly). A few more memories...I remember going out for dim sum with Pamela, on one of her "last days" at the City (she would always be back) - we had such a great time. When I got transferred to another team and another floor - Pamela was so loyal and loving. She jokingly (or not, I was never sure) said that she would never be nice to the new team member who took over my desk, and said they could never replace me. That meant a lot to me. She also made me her special log roll cake for a little celebration in the lunchroom.  I will truly miss Pamela's spark and spirit, and am lucky to have known her.

She worked hard to do well at her job, making others lives easier.  She will be missed by all who knew her.

I loved working with Pamela.  She could be just as excitable as me for the work she helped me with at the City.  We shared many stories about our love of neighborhood wildlife sightings, so I knew we were kindred spirits from the start.  Goodbye Pamela, thank you for your passion.

Pamela started in our group at the City of Edmonton planning department about 4 1/2 years ago. When I first met her, Pamela scared me a little because she could come on strong and didn't pull any punches. As I got to know her, though, I realized that she had a heart of gold and was amazingly loyal to her people. She loved helping us succeed and went above and beyond by actually being interested in the nerdy policy work we did and in us as people.

Today a group of us met at Churchill Square to share of our memories of Pamela. There were tears, there was laughter, and there was a violinist nearby playing up-tempo music. I think Pamela would have appreciated it.

Pamela was a bright light at the City of Edmonton. I loved her stories, her laugh and her pride in her family. I'm lucky that I knew her - she was so genuine and good hearted. My deepest condolences to her family. 

I remember when Pamela started with the City several years ago, she had a tough exterior, and always worried about "doing a good job", and always mentioned "I'm a nice person".  She never turned down an assignment that was given to her.  Over the last five months I worked more closely with Pamela, and got to know her on a more personal level.  She had a funny way of describing things that often made me laugh.  She spoke of her children often, she was very proud of them!  We shared our faith as well.  The beautiful picture you posted with her walking in the sand along the ocean reminded me of "Footprints in the Sand".  Pamela often said she was lonely, but when I saw that photo, I knew that the Lord walked with her, and that she was never alone.  I pray she had that comfort during her difficult time.  I do, and will continue to miss her.

My sincere condolences to the Boylan family and to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing Pamela. I've never known anyone quite like her.  Pamela was humble, witty, thoughtful and 'one of a kind'.  I never quite knew what to expect and enjoyed her so much.

I am blessed to have known you Pamela.  You will truly, truly be missed. 

It is hard to believe that Pamela is no more. She was a dedicated City employee and a very helpful person. She will be missed when we return to the office. My sincere condolences to Pamela's family due to this loss. May God provide her rest in peace.

I cannot believe you're gone Pamela.  You worked hard and was passionate about everything you did and said. I am truly sorry you're gone. Never will be forgotten. You left an impression on anyone who met you. Rest in peace.

I had the pleasure of working with (and sitting next to!) Pamela for almost three years at the City of Edmonton. She was so dedicated to her work and our team. Every task was completed quickly with the highest quality. She would move walls if we needed it. I will miss working alongside her, hearing her stories and learning from her.  

Everyone at the City of Edmonton who has ever spoken with Pamela is truly sad at her passing. I know I am… I will really miss our chats about so many different topics.  She loved to talk about her family and shared some funny stories about them.  She was a strong woman who wasn’t afraid to let you know what she was thinking - I am going to really miss that about her!  Despite her tough exterior, deep down she had a heart of gold and was always there to help anyone who needed assistance.  I can’t recall how many times she assisted me in organizing public events and the like and always knew how to get things done. My sincerest condolences to the entire Boylan family and all of her friends.

My sincere condolences to Pamela's family. I worked with Pamela at the City of Edmonton over the last couple of years in the SE corner of the 8th floor of Edmonton Tower. She was a character!  Her stories were excellent (often about her kids, with evident pride). As others described, Pamela was a straight shooter who didn't take nonsense, knew her stuff and was instrumental in keeping our projects running smoothly, but always first to make sure to say hello! I will especially miss her presence with our upcoming return to the office.

Pamela was the first person greeted me on the first day I started to work for the city. I really enjoyed the delightful chats with Pamela during the past five years. She is one of the person always light up your day. Rest in peace, Pamela.

I had the pleasure of working with Pamela at the City of Edmonton and getting to know her over the past two and a half years. She was so proud of her kids and always had a story to tell or advice to share. I will miss her wit and laughter dearly—my sincerest condolences to her children and extended family. 

So sorry to hear of Pamela's passing. I worked with Pamela at the City of Edmonton and she brought such joy, laughter and colour to the office. I'm sorry to lose her as a colleague, and sorry for everyone who didn't get a chance to work with her. She was a wonderful example of bringing humanity and spirit to work.

Pamela Rose I will never forget you! The long long talk’s on the phone! Hey Pamela I have some bad news for us, maybe not you! Darryl passed so you should of seen already! This is so very hard! Talk about Crazy! I don’t know how everyone is! Janice has been strong, but is dying inside just like Lori,Dwayne and Audrey! Well but our last phone call! But call anytime!
