Mike Semchuk

September 2nd, 1944 - September 27th, 2024

It's with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mike at the age of 80. Born in Waugh, AB, Canada, September 2nd, 1944. He was the second youngest child to Nick and Sophie Semchuk. He was predeceased by his parents and brother Victor and survived by his siblings Olga, Ed, Mary, and Nick. He was also survived by his children and grandchildren, son Mike Jr. (Nicole), Daughter Bonny (Murray) & Granddaughter Elizabeth, Son William (Jaime) & Grandsons, Robert & Jaxon, and the mother of his children Rose Marie, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and great friends. He was a beloved brother, father, and Gido and enjoyed by all who met him. He was a proud member of numerous clubs and organizations, and proud brother of Carpenters Local 1325 & International Alliance Of Theatrical Stage Employees Local 210. Mike was always there if you ever needed a hug, a helping hand or some Ukrainian insurance aka food.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to the St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church or the Waugh Polish Hall as his wishes in life.

The Funeral will be held on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church, Township Road 584, Waugh AB T0G 2J0
