Karen Sokolik (aka “KK”), beloved sister, auntie, great auntie and dear friend to many, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on February 21, 2015 at the young age of 48.
Karen lost a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sisters, Donna Sokolik-Holtby (Bill), Dianne Kabarchuk (James), brother-in-law Ted Kennedy, nephews and nieces, Jessica, Jennifer, Jeffery, Erin, Bradley, Laura (AJ), Sara (Trevor), Jena (Cole), great nephews and niece Jack, Ashley and Brock, her faithful companions Simon and Remmie-Lou and many, many friends.
Karen was predeceased by her mother and father Mona and Peter Sokolik, her sister Debra Kennedy and Keeley.
Karen will be remembered for her brilliant smile, laughter, practical jokes, being “sneaky”, her love for animals and nature, carefree
loving approach to life, love for travel and volunteering with her dogs.
