He is survived by his partner, Edith Stewart of Gibbons, Alberta; son, Randy; grandson, Curtis (Tiffany); great granddaughter, Seraphim; grandson, Kevin (Jordan); grandsons, Cody, Kelsey and Coltin; son, Myron (Colleen); grandsons, Ty and Bret; sisters, Ella and Myrtle; and brother, Allan (Shirley); as well as many nieces and nephews, former wife, Judy Baggett (Ken).
Predeceased by daughter, Carrie; parents, Emile and Eveina; brothers, Leonard, Clifford, Vernon, and Harvey; and sisters, Clarice, Lillian, Irene, Ruth, June, Esther, and Carol.
Elwood was born August 13, 1933 in Bengough, Saskatchewan. He was part of a large family of 15, with 5 brothers and 9 sisters. Those were hard days but good days back on the farm. Music was always present with most of the siblings being able to sing or play musical instruments. With the family, he raised in his early years in Coronach, Saskatchewan, he enjoyed traveling, playing cards and working road construction for different municipalities, including time with Patterson Construction. He always enjoyed visiting, watching westerns, playing guitar, and reading books.
Cremation has been entrusted to Memories Funeral Home in Edmonton, Alberta. Burial will take place at a later date at Buffalo Gap Cemetery in Saskatchewan.
