Clarence Robert Lecky

Throughout Clarence’s life, he enjoyed going for walks, curling, playing darts and going for drinks with his friends. He loved going for breakfast on the weekend and travelling to Corn Island to visit friends. Clarence was a compassionate man who loved animals. He often volunteered at the Humane Society and walked dogs in his free time. He was a fan of baseball and loved the Toronto Blue Jays.

Clarence’s greatest joy was being a grandpa. He always enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren. He loved to cheer them on at their sporting events, go to Oiler games, attempt to play their video games and take them for dinner to the Keg.

Clarence leaves behind his two daughters, Michelle (Brian) Lindsay and Denise (Dino) Corsini; his grandchildren, Jordan, Justin, Christian and Chiara; and his sisters Marjorie (Hannu) Kinnunen and Anne (Paul) Groenveld. He was predeceased by his parents Ken and Marjorie.

To honour Clarence’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place. A private family gathering will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Grey Nuns Hospital Palliative Care Unit (unit 43).

Clarence’s family extends a heartfelt thank you to the nurses, health care aides, and Dr Buttenschoen for the amazing care he received when he was in the hospital. Thank you for the love, and support and for helping us to laugh during a very difficult time.
