Chucheng Zhang

He was born to Shui Ming Yang (Mother) and Ji Yun Zhang (Father) on 17th July 1979 in Hunan, China, where he spent his childhood alongside his sister, Zhang Yi. He then moved to Malaysia for college, where he met his wife, Yu Fun (Cass) Mok in 1999. He and his wife had three children, Xi Yue Zhang, Rainee Zhang and Destinee Zhang.

He had careers in information technology, business and construction supervision. In September 2024，he accepted Jesus as his savior and got baptized in the hospital.

Dave was loving, kind and funny. His family and friends will always remember him for the joy, love and warmth he brought to their lives. Throughout his life, he was always looking out for his family, trying his best to give them the world. He put others first. He loved conversations of all kinds and light-hearted goofing around, always lighting up the room with smiles. He also loved seeking and trying new things. Some of his interests were travelling, food, music, movies, video games and was passionate about all things technology related since he was a teenager. Becoming sick really got him down, but even then, he was still trying to be there for those around him. He planned trips and made quality time for his family to make memories that they will take with them even after he passes. He was deeply insightful and continued growing as a person on a journey of self-discovery and was eager to learn about the world until the very end.

He will forever be remembered and cherished for the love he spread, the laughs he shared and the lessons he taught those around him.

A service for Dave (Chu Cheng) will be held on Thursday 19 December at 10 a.m in loving memory of his life to wish him the best for what’s ahead.
