Betty (Elizabeth) Lorene Lund passed away peacefully October 23, 2024, at the age of 81 in her care home in Edmonton, after a long battle with dementia. She spent her last few days with her children Mike, Lorene (Kevin), her siblings Ruth and Walter, and grandson Justin (Liz), Shane, and all her amazing Touchmark caretakers.
Betty was a force of nature, and will be remembered vividly by anyone who crossed her path. She exuded life, in all its expressions, and was actively visiting and puttering around right up until the very end. She was a painter, dancer, piano player, worker, server, awesome cook - friend- socialiser. The only thing she wasn't was a great singer or joke teller, but she done it anyway, and boy did we laugh together! Her laughter, and energy were so infectious.
Betty leaves behind a legacy within her friends, communities, and especially her family & extended family.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Norman, siblings Grace, Dave, and John, and numerous close family and friends that she was often with in compassionate care.
She is survived by her children Mike, and Lorene (Kevin), Grandchildren Justin Lund (Liz), and Jayden Croteau (Barb), and siblings Mary (Gerry) Britt, Ruth Stewart, Walter (Anna) Johansen, and Rita Jensen.
