In the grand tapestry of life, there are individuals who leave an everlasting mark on our souls, Andy was one such individual. His very essence radiated love and light, with a heart as vast as the ocean and a spirit as free as the wind. Andy embraced life and those in his life by loving fully and generously. His ability to connect with people and his special fur babies afforded him a rich, rewarding and remarkable life. Andy approached life with an open and free mind, willing to embrace both the joys and sorrows of life by being supportive, present, finding joy in the little things, personal interests (golf and the Oilers), and times spent with those who mattered to him. The impact of his kindness and acts of charity wasn’t a show or something he had to do, but something he wanted to do. His reward came in all forms including engagement with friends (new and old) and knowing he helped made a difference. Thinking of Andy can automatically bring a smile to those who knew and loved him. His sudden passing is a reminder that the present moment is precious, and that we should make the most of it today, as tomorrow is never promised. As we remember and celebrate a life well lived and a spirit so vibrant and beautiful, let us strive to embody the love and kindness he lived throughout his life journey. Andy, you touched our lives in extraordinary ways, thank you for love, laughter and the memories, may your gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
In keeping with family wishes, cremation will be taking place. A special thank-you to Hainstock’s Funeral Home & Crematorium for their guidance and support through this difficult time.
Celebrations of his remarkable life will be held at his home in Edmonton, Alberta, and his hometown of Burin, Newfoundland, at later dates yet to be determined.
