Teresa Jean Pickard

Teresa Jean Pickard was born on 29 August 1952 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and passed away Sunday, 29 September 2024 in Edmond, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of James Henry Pickard and Naomi Bess Tharp who preceded her in death.

Teresa graduated from Wagner High School at Clark Air Force Base, Luzon, Philippines in 1970. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing at Central State College (now University of Central Oklahoma). She was employed at Edmond Memorial Hospital on the orthopedics floor and volunteered for vaccination clinics and many other health related services where she thought she could make a positive difference.

Teresa cherished her Edmond home that she shared with her furry best friend Coco. She worked tirelessly in her flower garden paying special attention to her beautiful Iris and Rose beds. Teresa had many hobbies but above all she loved to knit. In her later years she spent many hours knitting patriotic afghans and donated them to Veterans. It made her most happy when she was able to gift her beautiful afghans to her loved ones.

A memorial service for Teresa will be held Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Baggerley Funeral Home, 930 South Broadway, Edmond, OK.
