Susan Kay Hampton

Susan lived in Edmond until 1982, then moved to Colorado before returning to Edmond in 2016. She had a vibrant personality, loving all colors except red. Her perfect day was spent peacefully in the mountains, surrounded by loved ones.

A woman of faith, Susan taught her family the importance of love, kindness, and practical skills such as sewing and cooking. She was known for her unwavering support for her family and friends. She wanted to be remembered as a giving, caring, and strong woman of faith.

Susan was an accomplished gymnast and a cherished member of the New Covenant Church in Edmond.

She was married to Mike Hoard for 15 years, and she adored her family and dogs.

Susan is preceded in death by her father Richard, who greeted her with the biggest smile in Heaven with her nephew Casey by his side and her beloved fur babies Kiara, Teddy, and Mackentosh, who she loved the most, especially Grace.

Susan is survived by her children, son James Hoard and wife Emily of Castle Rock, Colorado, daughter Jenny Morris and husband Zach of Frederick, Colorado, daughter Sarah Shambo and husband Chris of Watertown, New York. She is also survived by her mother, Jean Wilson of Edmond, Oklahoma, brother Mike Hampton and wife Geneva of Edmond, Oklahoma, sister Dawn King and husband Ron of Edmond, Oklahoma, six grandchildren, Riley, Owen, Blake, Lincoln, Mason, and Liam, one niece Jenna and one nephew Tyler. Also to survive Susan is her fur baby, Dakota.

A memorial service for Susan will be held Friday, October 11, 2024 at 2:00 PM at New Covenant Church, 2700 S Blvd, Edmond, OK 73013.
