Born in Detroit, Michigan on June 10, 1945, Ron was the youngest son of John and Carol Krakowski.
He is survived by his caring wife of almost 47 years, Diane; their three children: James Krakowski and wife Amy, Kara Vorderlandwehr and husband Jacob, and Kristin Kraham and husband James; adoring grandchildren: Allison, Jackson, Asher, Macy, Evelyn, and Harrison who each had a special bond with their grandpa; brother, John and his wife Patricia and their children; and a large extended family that he truly treasured.
As a geologist, Ron worked for numerous oil and gas companies in Houston, Michigan, and Oklahoma. He was an active member of the Oklahoma City Geological Society, serving as editor of the Shale Shaker for many years. Ron was also a member of the Oklahoma Mineral and Gem Society, most recently serving as president. Ron’s passions included collecting rocks, minerals, books, and especially capturing special moments on camera.
