Patricia Joan Mitchell

On August 24th, 1943 Patricia was born to Leo Vaughn and Marie (Kingan) Vaughn in Enid, Oklahoma. Patricia graduated from Garber High School as Valedictorian where she succeeded in academics. Patricia then went on to continue her education at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Home Economics.

Patricia met Eugene Mitchell in February of 1963 while at a social dance club. Their dance steps matched so well that they began dating. They enjoyed many of the same things and had wonderful times as their relationship grew. They married February 26, 1967 in Enid, Oklahoma and later went on to have three sons, Jeff, Robert, and Patrick.

Patricia always loved visiting and having a good laugh with her family and friends, traveling, and watching musicals. In her personal time, she enjoyed listening to her favorite music by Elvis Presley and Neil Diamond. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, social sorority Beta Sigma Phi for 49 years and a Woman of the Year at St. John’s Women’s Club.

Those left to cherish unforgettable memories of Patricia are Eugene Mitchell her husband of 56 years and their sons; son Jeff Mitchell, wife Jaylynn and their children Sterling and Miranda of McKinney Texas; son Robert Mitchell, wife Xiangfei and their children Liam, Shiloh, and Bryce of Norman Oklahoma; son Patrick Mitchell, wife Samantha and their daughter Sidalee of Chandler Oklahoma and brother Jim Vaughn of Garber, Oklahoma.

Patricia is proceeded in death by her father Leo Vaughn and mother Marie (Kingan) Vaughn.

A rosary service for Patricia will be held Sunday, March 19, 2023 at 7:00 PM at Baggerley Funeral Home, 930 South Broadway, Edmond, OK 73034.

Mass of Christian Burial will occur Monday, March 20, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 900 S. Littler Ave, Edmond, OK 73034.
