Mike was born on March 26, 1955 in Shawnee, OK and passed away on February 18, 2018 at the age of 62 in Guthrie, OK. Throughout his life Mike worked on an oil rig, was a police officer, a truck driver, a coal miner, and an equipment operator. He was a man of many talents. His hobbies included fishing, building hot rods, metal working, playing bass guitar, and yard work.
Mike was an avid fan of OSU football, Chicago Bears, and Guthrie Bluejays. It was his “TRIFECTA”. He loved his family first and foremost, football season, racing season, and fishing season. He played bass guitar and has rebuilt several race cars. He loved drag racing, especially with his sons. He enjoyed going to any activity that his grandchildren were involved in and greatly admired that his grandchildren were bring raised with a lot of the same values that he instilled in his children.
Mike is survived by his wife, Valerie; children, Talisha Thomason-Watkins (Bixby), Travis Thomason (Guthrie), Keith Thomason (Coyle), Waylon Thomason and wife Hayley (Henryetta), Kimberly Willcox and husband Jimmy (Edmond), Adrian Walker and wife Ashley (Batesville, AR), and Shannon Doolittle and husband Daniel (Guthrie); brother, Randy Thomason and wife Patricia; 11 grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
