Margaret was born in Hollis, OK on March 31, 1926, to AD and Jewel May Ables. She grew up in Hollis with her mom and dad and two younger sisters, Betty and Ruth. After graduation from Hollis High School, Margaret enrolled at Southwestern College in Weatherford, OK. In 1946, she got re-acquainted with Kenneth McFall, a Hollis boy, when he returned to Hollis after his discharge from the Army. They were married on Christmas day 1946 and remained married for 69 years, until Kenneth died in 2015. They moved to Stillwater, OK to attend Oklahoma A&M where Margaret graduated in 1947 with a BS Degree in Elementary Education. Margaret and Kenneth relocated several times in the early years for better jobs, finally settling in Oklahoma City in 1953. Margaret stayed home with the boys and was involved in their activities like Scouting and baseball games and even hauling boys and lawn mowers to local grass cutting jobs.
Margaret was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. She had many friends from the 25th & Geraldine and Mayfair congregations. Margaret & Kenneth’s church friends became life-long companions for lake trips, camping, parties and bridge. Those friendships extended to the kids of each family, creating a legacy that continues today with those same families. Margaret also liked to travel, play bridge, collect antiques and visit with friends.
