Robert “Bob” Passmore, age 70, of Edmond, OK and Cheektowaga, NY, passed away on August 10, 2022, in Oklahoma City after a brief illness. On November 1, 1951, Bob was born to Earl and Viola Passmore in Buffalo, New York. Bob graduated from Cleveland Hill High School, served two years in the United States Army.
He enjoyed watching movies, preferably action or documentaries. He also enjoyed deer hunting, but not the kind of hunting you sit in a stand and wait, Bob would track and shoot. Buffalo Bills was the football team he always cheered for and was a member of the Buffalo Bills Mafia. You would usually catch him drinking a Labatt Blue Beer or Canadian Whiskey during the Bill’s games.
Bob met Christine while they were both working and living in New York. He asked her out on a movie date and the rest is history. A short time later, they moved from New York to Oklahoma. Bob worked for Leslie’s Swimming Pool Supplies for over 30 years, and was transitioned to Oklahoma as the Store Manager where he served many people in the Edmond community.
Bob was a man that wanted everyone to feel like family. He never met a friend, he always met family. He could always keep a room laughing with his infectious laugh and funny jokes.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Christine (Schall) Passmore; loving father of the late Destiny Passmore, Benjamin (Lisa) Passmore and Julia Passmore; loving stepfather of Matthew Morgan and Amanda ( Patrick) Flaherty; adoring grandfather of Troy, Valerie, Maya, Allen and Elliot; dearest brother of the late Richard J. (Margaret) Passmore and Ronald D. (Cheryl) Passmore; son of the late Earl T. and Viola M. (nee Craw) Passmore; also survived by many nieces and nephews.
There will be a come-and-go Legacy Reception for Bob on August 24, 2022 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Baggerley Funeral Home Reception Room, 930 South Broadway, Edmond, OK 73034. All are encouraged to come and share their favorite story of Bob!
